Dance To Inspire Dance Studio's Competition Team

We strive to give all of our members that are on our competition team extraordinary opportunities and experiences that they may have otherwise never even had.

We Expand Each Team Member's Personal Horizons

Dance To Inspire Dance Studio's competition team travels to locations such as the Capital Region of New York State, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Vermont.  We will consider taking any ages that are deemed ready to be on a competition team and compete (such as ages 7 - Adult for example), and we provide a wide range of dance styles options that an individual may be able to compete with at any competition.  Dance To Inspire Dance Studio's Competition Team is directed and run by Miss Heather Donovan.

Each routine is choreographed by Miss Heather when she works alongside with each individual student to help create the routines that are especially tailored to their strengths and what will help them shine on stage every time!  While learning all routines no matter if it is a solo/duet/trio/group/ect, each routine will have its own private time set with Miss Heather to ensure that each routine and member has the proper individual attention and time to work and perfect each routine.

Our "No One Should Perform Alone" policy also takes effect for our competition team.  We believe that anyone who would like to take part in this opportunity, but does not want to perform by themselves on stage does not have to.  Under this policy, Miss Heather would have the individual perform with another teammate (or teammates), or Miss Heather would perform with the individual.

We also understand that it is not always possible to attend every competition for many unforeseen reasons/events.  For these reasons, we will not discipline or hold an individual responsible for certain unforeseen events that may happen, especially if there is communication with Miss Heather.  We also understand that an individual may want to just try one competition before making a commitment to the team or may only want or be able to some competitions; Even though we encourage all of our team members to be a part of every competition, an individual does not have to, especially if Dance To Inspire Dance Studio and Miss Heather knows this information before the competition date that is in question.

Fundraised-Based

We are so proud to say that Dance To Inspire Dance Studio's competition team is mostly fundraised-based (within our best powers).  By having our competition team mostly fundraised-based, we take the financial burden off the team member and their family.  We believe that financials should not impact if an individual may be able to take part of these amazing opportunities and experiences that being a part of being on a competition team.  Our competition team fundraises year round to help pay the financial costs of being on a competition team, such as entry fees (competition, convention, or master class fees), traveling fees, food costs, water bottles, hair accessories, privacy tents to help our team members change in confidence, and so much more.  Every team member is to be involved in every fundraiser in some shape or form; Whether it is by actively participating and helping the day of the event, helping prepare for the event, or by donating or making items for the fundraiser.  We have multiple fundraisers throughout each season to cover these fees (all profits that are made from each fundraiser that the team puts on is equally distributed to each individual team member based on participation and contribution to each individual fundraiser, that the studio keeps the result of and very carefully documented).

Although we try our hardest to keep our competition team as fundraised-base as possible by having multiple fundraisers during the seasons to help pay all of the entry fees to each competition that we attend for that season, there are some payments that our team members and our families are responsible for paying.  Press the button below to see all of our pricing information not just for our competition team, but for classes, lessons, and other payments as well!

Dance Styles that We Will Compete with...

We will consider taking any ages that are deemed ready to be on a competition team and compete (such as ages 7 - Adult for example), and we provide a wide range of dance styles options that an individual may be able to compete with at any competition.  Some of the dance style options that our competition may compete with is the following:

Register for our 2026-2027's Competition Team Today

Registration is now open for our 2026-2027 competition team.  Fill out the form below.  The same registration process will apply as if you are registering a student for our classes/lessons, but it is for our competition team (with the exception that the competition team registration form will be different than regular registration form).  To start the registration process, please fill out the proper form below that you or your child is looking to register for (we have both classes by grade/age level and private lessons).  After you do so, we will send you an email with the link to register yourself/your student(s).  We may also send you a paper copy of the registrations as well and you may contact Miss Heather for a time when you may drop off the paperwork and talk to her.

Please sign up anyone that may be interested in joining our competition team for the 2026-2027 season as soon as Miss Heather is already preparing and planning for the competition year, and the team has also started fundraising for next year's competition season.  We also may start routines in August after our competition team returns from Nationals. 

Everyone who is on the competition team must enroll and consistently attend and participate in at least one of Dance To Inspire Dance Studio's class or one hour private lesson with Miss Heather in order to become and stay on our competition team.
