Dance To Inspire Dance Studio's Competition Team
We strive to give all of our members that are on our competition team extraordinary opportunities and experiences that they may have otherwise never even had.
Expands Each Team Member's Horizons
Dance To Inspire Dance Studio's competition team travels to locations such as the Capital Region of New York State, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Vermont. We will consider taking any ages that are deemed ready to be on a competition team and compete (such as ages 7 - Adult for example), and we provide a wide range of gernera options that an individual may be able to compete with at any competition. Dance To Inspire Dance Studio's Competition Team is directed and run by Miss Heather Donovan.
Each routine is cheorgraphed by Miss Heather when she works alongside with each individual student to help create the routines that are especially tailored to their strengths and what will help them shine on stage everytime! While learning all routines no matter if it a solo/duet/trio/group/ect, each routine will have it's own private time set with Miss Heather to ensure that each routine and member has the proper individual attention and time to work and perfect each routine.
Our "No One Should Perform Alone" policy also takes effect for our competition team. We believe that anyone who would like to take part in this opportunity, but does not want to perform by themselves on stage does not have to. Under this policy, Miss Heather would have the individual perform with another teammate (or teammates), or Miss Heather will perform with the individual.
We also understand that it is not always possible to attend every competition for many unforeseen reasons/events. For this reasons, we will not discipline or hold an individual for certain unforeseen events that may happen, especially if there is communitcation with Miss Heather. We also understand that an individual may want to just try one competition before making a commietment to the team or may only want or be able to some competitions; Even though we encourage all of our team members to be a part of every competition, an individual does not have to, especially if Dance To Inspire Dance Studio and Miss Heather knows this information before the competition date that is in question.
Fundraised-Based
We are so proud to say that Dance To Inspire Dance Studio's competition team is mostly fundraised-based (within our best powers). By having our competition team mostly fundraised-based, we take the financial burden off the team member and their family. We believe that financials should not impact if an individual may be able to take part of these amazing opportunities and experiences that being a part of being on a competition team. Our competition team fundraises year around to help pay the financial costs of being on a competition team, such as entry fees (competition, convention, or master class fees), traveling fees, food costs, water bottles, hair accessories, privacy tents to help our team members change in confidence, and so much more. Every team member is to be involved in every fundraiser in some shape or form; Weather it is by actively particating and helping the day of the event, helping prepare for the event, or by donating or making items for the fundraiser.
Having our competition team being fundraised-based also helps teach our team members valuable life lessons such as leadership roles, being a constructive team member, how to work with others, how to be a proper member to their community and so much more!
